Co-managing lab and field testing of multi-tiered, portable, wireless, MEMS accelerometer network (ShakeNet project) at a 37-story high-rise, Seven Oaks Dam, and Santa Ana River Bridge, 2006-2012.

Chief Scientist on 2011 research cruise to recover 34 ocean bottom seismometers off the coast of Southern California (ALBACORE project) on R/V New Horizon operated by Scripps Institute of Oceanography.

Managed eight undergraduate and graduate student volunteers from three academic institutions.
Oversaw collection of 3.5 KHz sub-bottom profiler echosounder (Knudsen 320 B), Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP), meteorological and sea surface, and navigation datasets.

Chief Scientist on 2010 research cruise to deploy 34 ocean bottom seismometers off the coast of Southern California (ALBACORE project) on R/V Melville operated by Scripps Institute of Oceanography.

Managed nine undergraduate and graduate student volunteers from five academic institutions.
Oversaw collection of 12 KHz multibeam bathymetry (Kongsberg EM122), gravimeter (Bell BGM-3), towed magnetometer, 3.5 KHz sub-bottom profiler echosounder (Knudsen CHIRP 3260), Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP), meteorological and sea surface, and navigation datasets.

Led the expansion, operations, and maintenance of the UCLA Factor building strong-motion network (72 channels in building, 2 borehole seismometers (surface and 100-meter depth), and 4 free-field stations) for structural health monitoring studies, 2002-2008.

Led the technical design, budget, deployment, field operation, and field assistant management of two dense seismometer deployments in southern California to examine orogenic and sedimentary basin kinematics, and ground motion amplification due to subsurface structures using seismic methods:

Managed 20 scientists from local academic institutions during deployment and two field assistants during the operation of the Los Angeles Region Seismic Experiment II passive phase involving 83 short-period and broadband seismometers in the greater Los Angeles region, 1998-1999.
Managed two field assistants during the nine-month Los Angels Basin Passive Seismic Experiment deploying 18 short-period seismometers in southeastern Los Angeles County, 1997.
